about
STEVE MONTOYA:
"I WAS WATCHING A DOCUMENTARY ON TV ONE NIGHT ABOUT THE HOLOCAUST AND THE CHILDREN THAT ESCAPED FROM BEING CAPTURED BY THE NAZIS. I WAS HEARING ABOUT HOW THEY WOULD HIDE UNDER FLOORBOARDS AND CUPBOARDS AND FURNITURE AND ANYWHERE ELSE THEY COULD TO AVOID BEING SEEN AND CAPTURED. I THOUGHT TO MYSELF "THIS IS INTERESTING. NO ONE ELSE REALLY TALKS ABOUT THIS." I WANTED TO WRITE A SONG ABOUT IT."
lyrics
We are children of the night
Don’t they know this isn’t right?
Will we ever meet our destiny?
Hide in shadows to survive
Trying hard to stay alive
Looking back at how it used to be
And oh, where do we go
We need to show that we are innocent
And why so many die
We’ve got to try to end all this torment
We have waited for so long
In a world that has gone wrong
Shattered dreams, but still we must be brave
Everywhere so much is lost
As we face this holocaust
Are we headed for an early grave?
Who? Who is this man?
With such a plan to end humanity
Pray. Pray for the day we get away
This is insanity
<solo: Montoya>
The streets are so dangerous
Nothing is sure but a knock on the door
Here they come
It makes me so furious
Men made of stone made us orphans alone
With no home
It’s such an atrocity
There’s no denying of what they are trying to do
A blizzard of agony,
They’re gonna pay for the suffering they put us through
The future is bleak when you prey on the weak
<solo: Montoya>

Allow me to copy Pagan Altar's third album title to describe not only III:Pentecost but the whole discography of Wytch Hazel so far: well, yes, it's Magical and Mythical!!! A must-have for the lovers of 70's hard sound revival. BoneWalker

Love this album. It’s like a very pissed off Manowar decided to play a blend of blackened speed/power metal! Definitely makes me want to ride off into the snowy wastes to slay dragons!! cory_m

What a fantastic record, great riffs, with memorable songs and when you finish the album you want to listen to it all again, at least I did. The vocals are the highlight for me and is what grabbed my attention initially, damn good stuff. dimeraraven
