about
STEVE MONTOYA:
"THIS SONG GOES BACK TO MY DAYS IN PROWLER. FOR SOME REASON, IT NEVER GOT USED. I BROUGHT IT TO THE TABLE WITH THIS BAND AND IT FINALLY TOOK OFF. IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE JUST A BASIC ROCKER BUT THESE GUYS TOOK IT TO THE NEXT LEVEL. I HAVE HAD THAT SONG FOR OVER TWENTY YEARS AND I REALLY THINK IT IS A GOOD REPRESENTATION OF SAVAGE WIZDOM."
lyrics
<solo: Montoya>
Blazing a path of destruction on everything under the sun
Slashing and tearing without even caring
The damage has only begun
Who is this master of metal who came here from so far away?
With mace in his hand he is roaming the land in search of adventure and prey
Just a man out on his own, he faces a world so unknown
Just a man, he’ll fight to the end
His blade is his only true friend
Wielding a sword with conviction, taking whatever he can
Savage, yet wise, so much hate in his eyes
They call him a barbarian
Striking without any warning, what drives this army of one?
Ready to pillage each oncoming village, he makes all his enemies run
Just a man out on his own, he faces a world so unknown
Just a man, he’ll fight to the end
His blade is his only true friend
<solo: Montoya>
<solo: Roybal>
All through the land it is spoken of he who will come to this place
He’ll steal all your gold and spit on your soul
And leave with a grin on his face
Just when you thought it was over, you look back and see him again
The tension is rising, you start realizing
How terribly wrong you have been
Heart made of stone, fierce to the bone
An awesome display to behold
Sent by the gods, defying the odds
Time after time as foretold
Violence and pain, all done in vain
He lives everyday without fear
Mighty and large, ready to charge
A legend for all to revere
Just a man out on his own, he faces a world so unknown
Just a man, he’ll fight to the end
His blade is his only true friend

Allow me to copy Pagan Altar's third album title to describe not only III:Pentecost but the whole discography of Wytch Hazel so far: well, yes, it's Magical and Mythical!!! A must-have for the lovers of 70's hard sound revival. BoneWalker
Love this album. It’s like a very pissed off Manowar decided to play a blend of blackened speed/power metal! Definitely makes me want to ride off into the snowy wastes to slay dragons!! cory_m
What a fantastic record, great riffs, with memorable songs and when you finish the album you want to listen to it all again, at least I did. The vocals are the highlight for me and is what grabbed my attention initially, damn good stuff. dimeraraven
