about

STEVE MONTOYA:

"THIS SONG WAS INSPIRED BY CHRIS SALAZAR. IT’S THE ONLY ONE THAT WE WROTE WHILE HE WAS IN THE BAND. HE WANTED TO TAKE US A HARDER ROUTE WITH MORE BREAKS AND BRIDGES SO WE DECIDED TO SEE WHAT HE HAD TO SAY. HE WOULD GIVE US A BEAT AND WES WOULD COME UP WITH A RIFF AND THE GUYS WOULD ADD PARTS SO IT WAS A BAND EFFORT. IT’S ABOUT HOW THE WORLD HAS GOT OUT OF HAND. EVERYONE TELLS ME THAT I JUST WRITE SONGS ABOUT WAR, SO HERE IS ONE ABOUT PEACE."

lyrics

Now the time has come for all mankind
To understand what is really going on
Everywhere there is so much despair
I can't believe the life I knew is gone

Countless cities falling, this is so appalling
Things have gone so very bad
See the people dying, don't you hear them crying
Everyone is going mad

So take a look around you
At all the pain you've been through
This isn't how the world was meant to be
There is no doubt about it
You've got to scream and shout it
Why don't you stop and face reality

Something has got to be done
My god what have we become
We have to fight to save humanity
They keep on getting stronger
We can't wait any longer
There will be nothing left for you and me

This is so bizarre, I think it's gone too far
I won't accept this anymore
Standing side by side they'll never break our stride
Listen to the mighty roar
