"THIS WAS THE INTRO TO AN OLD SONG OF THE SAME NAME THAT I HAD WRITTEN YEARS AGO. THE SONG ITSELF HASN'T HELD UP WELL WITH TIME BUT I HAVE ALWAYS LIKED THE INTRO. WHEN WE WERE GETTING READY TO ENTER THE STUDIO TO RECORD THE NEW CD, WE ALL AGREED THAT WE NEEDED SOME KIND OF INTRO TRACK. I SHOWED THE DEMO TO THE GUYS AND TOLD THEM THAT IF WE DROPPED THE TUNING FROM E TO E FLAT, IT WOULD LEAD INTO THE TITLE TRACK PERFECTLY. STEVEN DIDN'T HAVE ENOUGH TIME TO LEARN THE SECOND GUITAR PARTS BEFORE WE TRACKED IT SO I PLAYED ALL OF THE GUITAR AND STEVEN ADDED ALL OF THE ORCHESTRAL PARTS."
