"I WAS WATCHING A DOCUMENTARY ON TV ONE NIGHT ABOUT THE HOLOCAUST AND THE CHILDREN THAT ESCAPED FROM BEING CAPTURED BY THE NAZIS. I WAS HEARING ABOUT HOW THEY WOULD HIDE UNDER FLOORBOARDS AND CUPBOARDS AND FURNITURE AND ANYWHERE ELSE THEY COULD TO AVOID BEING SEEN AND CAPTURED. I THOUGHT TO MYSELF "THIS IS INTERESTING. NO ONE ELSE REALLY TALKS ABOUT THIS." I WANTED TO WRITE A SONG ABOUT IT."
